From a distance, these little pink flowers look like pieces of confetti that have been thrown on the ground! But instead they grow out of the ground.. Because they’re flowers… So I named them ground confetti!
IDENTIFICATION: Pink, cup-shaped flowers that grow on thin stalks, about 2 inches in diameter.. Flowers have four to six petals. Lobed leaves radiate from the base of the stem.
I love these little guys! They add a nice pop of color to the green grass here. Interestingly, both the flowers of the Weeping Acacia and Ground Confetti are the exact same color - Must have something to do with the pollinators here.
