MAILBOX MYSTERY

It's a sunny afternoon like any other, and I'm sorting through my mail. Hidden among a mass of magazines and letters, I find a single piece of cardstock. On it was some weird ad, vaguely describing an unnamed "salt island" (hand-written, for some reason).

I wanted to brush it off as junk mail - probably just a prank letter or shady scam, right? But I couldn't stop thinking about it. Was the salt island real? Were there really beautiful birds? I had to know if the promises were true. So I called up Squeaky, prepared my equipment, and set sail. We have a mystery to solve! >:D

The path we had to take was really obtuse... Multiple times I thought we might have to face the Fish's boredom. I was mentally preparing to pay the recovery bills. But everything worked out (Squeaky's navigation skills never fail), and we made it to the island safely. Unfortunately, Squeaky had some errands that day, so she couldn't stay.

The island was real, and also definetly made of salt. It's dryer than the worst inland dry seasons! Really uncomfortable! It would instakill an algebralien! But ignoring the dryness, I enjoyed the scenery a lot. The landscape is as vibrant as what the Plants have described the Pre-Unionization era to have looked like.. It makes me a bit sad to think about, though. The whole planet looked this pretty at some point. And we lost this world. But also, it probably wasn't this dry (or pink) as this place.
